You call all the shots with the Design Your Own Kitchen Island! Design this kitchen island to match your decor and meet your culinary needs. First select a countertop that works for you: Wood, Stainless Steel, Vinyl, or solid Granite. Next choose the base finish: Natural, Cottage Oak, Cherry, White, Red, or Black. View the drop-down menus to see all the different combinations available.

This kitchen island is made of sturdy, solid rubberwood with raised-panel doors. The two storage cabinets on the outside have adjustable shelving which provides five configuration options, while the four drawers in the middle provide ample space to organize your kitchen goods. Other convenient features of this kitchen cart are the handy condiment/spice caddy with a towel rack and paper towel holder. Heavy-duty, locking rubber casters allow for easy mobility, and then lock into place for stability. Casters can be removed if you wish to have your kitchen island sit directly on the floor.

We have a large kitchen but not enough counter space. We considered having an island custom built but the quotes were above $1000. When we saw this "build your own" kitchen island with the wood color choices and granite tops we thought we'd give it a shot! WOW! The wood veneer we chose (country oak) is a close enough match and the black & white granite blends in and makes the piece look like it belongs! It took my husband all day to put it together but we still feel it was worth it. The bottom (cabinet base) & the top (granite slab) arrive separately & the boxes are VERY heavy so I would recommend you get a strong friend to help you. One of the doors didn't quite match up to the magnetic closure but if you lift it a tad then it closes just fine, it's also a small price to pay for such a lovely kitchen island. So far it's been finished and up in our Kitchen for only 2 days and we've used it non-stop!!! We are REALLY pleased with this purchase and would recommend it!

Several pieces didn't fit and had pre-drilled holes mistakingly in the wrong position that were filled in with putty to cover them up. After asking for replacement parts for these, I received pieces still didn't fit and were of a different grain, stain and cut than the original product. Eventually I just said screw it and cut my losses. Overall, I'm not satisfied with this product. For what it costs, you'd expect finer attention to detail in matching parts.

Everything was well packed and the instructions were clear. The wood is quite sturdy (and heavy!)and not the typical flimsy kind you find in other furniture that requires assembly. It took me and my husband 2.5 hours to assemble everything. I only wish the drawers were deeper. An alternate design may be to just have 2-3 shelves at the top and then all cabinets at the bottom for more storage flexibility.

This product will be used in an Assited Living apartment unit for my parents to provide space for a microwave, toaster, teapot etc., as well as additional kitchen storage space. It was easy to assemble, and fits into the space well.

The one negative for me is that the drawers don't fully extend, so you lose a lot of the drawer space.

This kitchen island is very nice looking, and for the most part, it's not difficult to assemble. I do wish the three top drawers were deeper, but they still work well for utensils.
Some of the drawers are slightly slanted due to where the screw-holes are for the track. It isnt noticable unless you look closely though.
The island was delivered in a timely maner and all the pieces were included.
I do really love the island and it goes really well in my kitchen.
