Description

The Napa Kitchen Cart is constructed of sturdy, solid rubberwood in a natural finish. Its frame is accented with brushed steel hardware. This kitchen cart features two storage cabinets with flat panel doors and one adjustable shelf in each. A center cubby storage area with two adjustable shelves adds more storage options. In addition, this cart features a unique spice rack and two utility drawers. This cart also has a kitchen towel holder as well as a paper towel holder. This cart has a finished back so it looks great from all angles, and it's equipped with four heavy-duty locking rubber casters, so you can easily move it from the kitchen to the dining room. I did not realize that this kitchen island had an overhang breakfast bar feature so I was disappointed that the shelves were not deeper. I was expecting to have more storage room. I use the spice or condiment rack to store a power bar since I use the countertop for my kitchen appliances. The center open shelves are rather small but I removed one of the shelves to the bottom level and use it as a glide for easier access to my stand mixer. This configuration gives plenty of storage room for the large mixer. I removed the paper towel holder since I already had one mounted on my kitchen cabinets and I found the island holder to be rather clumsy.

The island was very hard to assemble and the directions were not very lucid! I have put together many, many book cases, carts, entertainment centers, and even a china cabinet but this was by far the most difficult. That said, I was still able to figure it out and completed the assembly by myself. It would have probably been a bit easier with some assistance.

All in all, I do like the island and the price was good, but I would probably have preferred one of the more expensive ones with a bit more storage.

Only two locking wheels isn't enough to keep it from moving. Fairly easy to assemble, but the drawer sliders needed to be lowered so that the drawer top doesn't hit the top. Also had to remove and trim one of the drawer side frame pieces so that the drawer width would fit. Top was shipped with a crack in a section of the top.

    This portable kitchen island is just what I was looking for. There's plenty of storage space to free up counter space in my kitchen. I also like that there is an overhang on the countertop so the kids can enjoy a snack and watch while I work in the kitchen. A great value for the price. There are a couple of drawbacks through: it took my very handy husband almost 4 hours to assemble. And there were already scratches on the countertop.

    This item seemed perfect, it arrived packaged damaged, part was defective and, dowels left out of one part, and the top is warpped. The drawer bar support was uneven, and drawers would not line up even. Very dissapointed and should of bought catskill as I had planned.

      I'm really happy I purchased this island. I look at many different varieties/sizes and I decided on this one for the depth of the top and because it provided extra storage (especially the drawers).
      It took me about 2.5 hours to put it together but the instructions were good and all the pieces fit together very nicely.
