We found Hayneedle to have the best selection of kitchen islands on the web with the most competive pricing. We chose this model after much online shopping and couldn't be happier for the price point. This was our first purchase from Hayneedle, and will shop here more. We purchased this island mainly for additional kitchen storage. We do not plan to use it for additional seating or cooking surface. We are very happy with the purchase, because it meets our needs perfectly. I wish I could rate it 4.5/5. We have used the island for about 3 months now and we still love it. It looks beautiful in our kitchen. [...] It took 2 of us about 2.5 hours to assemble even with a few mistakes. We left the towel rack off to snug the island up against our kitchen cabinets, and it looks great. The construction is solid and we were able to empty 2 full kitchen cabinets by filling the island. We store seldom used cookware and accessories in the island. There was room left over to store dog paraphernalia and coffee. On the island top we set the coffee maker, standing mixer, and a small wine holder with some room to spare. My only complaint is that the far left cabinet door is very snug/sticky. This does not seem to be a fault of our assembly. We tried to put a positive spin on it, so that is where the dog treats and coffee are stored to make sure our 70 lb dog can't have a midday snack when we are away at work.

Overall this was good, but we were looking for a stationary item. A little taller would also be nice, but like i said, not bad.

I use this kitchen island for additional storage space. I chose this island for the larger drawers, although they are not as large or deep as I thought they would be. My brother and father put this together in 2 hours. I like the fact that it solid wood and not particle board.
I would recommend this product to a friend.

We chose this island over others because it has the central double doors, which provide storage for wider kitchen objects (George Foreman grill, bread machine). The drawers look small in the photos, but actually hold a good amount. We leave the counter in the upright position and use it for holding cookbooks, which allows the entire countertop to be open for use.

I have been extremely pleased with the island; it has transformed my tiny apartment kitchen into much more usable space. The island also looks good enough to move to a new kitchen when the time comes. The construction is solid and it is very easy to put together if you follow the directions.
