Description

The Fairmont Cart is the ideal kitchen cart for serious cooks. Constructed of solid rubberwood with a natural finish, its top is made of a heavy 18-gauge stainless steel ideal for food preparation. This kitchen cart features two storage cabinets with raised-panel doors and an adjustable shelf each, and four center storage drawers. The doors fully swing open on their hinges for easy access. In addition, this cart features a unique, built-in spice rack, as well as a kitchen towel bar and paper towel bar. The drop-leaf breakfast bar on this cart adds an additional 12 inches of working space to its top surface. The heavy-duty 3-inch locking rubber casters allow you to easily move it from the kitchen to the dining room. 
The Fairmont Cart is also available with or without two matching kitchen stools that can turn your kitchen work area into a dining space as well. These stools are 24 inches high, with a matching natural wood finish and sturdy four-legged construction with leaf-center leg support. Make the most of a small kitchen with this package! The Fairmont Cart requires assembly.

    I checked all the carts at this website and not only went by price and style but by the reviews of other buyers. Im so glad I checked the reviews because everyone of them hit the nail on the head. This cart is sturdy, every bit as sturdy as a builtin. It has plenty of room and the shelves are adjustable. The drawers are on rollers. And I simply love the stainless steel top. I keep going out to the kitchen to look at it!

    The base was easy to put together for two people. Be careful though, the directions were not entirely clear on which was the front and back. Pay attention to the diagrams, they were the most helpful. The drawers were also easy to put together, but were the most time consuming part. The base could be put together by yourself, but the drawers really need another person. Also, top three drawers are smaller than expected. We felt like they could have gone back a little further. Perfect size for someone with a small kitchen. It created a lot of counter top surface in an otherwise size challenged NYC apartment. All in all a very sturdy and attractive piece of furniture.

          Our kitchen is long and narrow and I'd written it off as a gut job. Our friends have an IKEA kitchen island and it made us think maybe our kitchen could be salvaged. We found this one and it's perfect. The color is just as pictured. It's nice and narrow so our kitchen doesn't look cluttered, but the leaf allows for seating when entertaining. It's was fairly easy to put together but there were definitely points where it became a two person job. My husband and I did it together without arguing which, post-Christmas 2011 where we assembled thousands of kids toys is a total win. Definitely recommend.

                  I'm very happy with this cart. It is a quality product, very well made, sturdy and easy to use. I have the breakfast table in the back and am amazed at how easy it is to open and close; the cart moves so easily you'd think it weighed nothing when in fact it is substantial wood. It's heartening to see that products of such quality are still made today. The stainless steel top and wood are all very high quality, and the cart is obviously made with professionalism and care. I find the storage very handy, though I wish the drawers were a little larger. With all of the features (spice rack, shelves, drawers, paper towel and towel holders, stainless steel top, wooden breakfast table and heavy locking wheels, not to mention the high quality wood and the tight construction), this is one of the best buys I've made in years!

                  Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
