      Received in 3 days of ordering. Came in 3 large boxes with the top of island in one, already put together. Be prepared for a few hours of hard work putting it together. You will need 2 people. The instructions are right on and pieces are labled by letters to help guide you through assembly. The drawers slide in securely and easily. The doors shut fine, but have a small gap between them. Don't think anyone will notice but me though. All shelves are adjustable, which is nice, but side shelves are just lying on posts and loose. I would have preferred if they had been screwed in. The color is a medium oak finish (just like the picture, thank goodness)! I bought this primarily to use as a table and for extra storage, which it's perfect for. I would not use as a food prep station though. If you do, cover the top to protect it from scratches, water, etc. When we got the island we found a large gouge in the leaf, which is not acceptable; so we immediately called and Hayneedle readily agreed to replace it with no charge. It is a beautiful piece and well worth the trouble and price. Thanks to Hayneedle for their exceptional products and customer service! Will definitly continue to shop with you in the future and recommend you to everyone!

          We were looking for a small breakfast bar and this is perfect! The finish is surprisingly nice, even on the interior. It is slightly darker than our Oak Cabinets, more towards a Maple color but perfect in our Rustic Kitchen/Breakfast Nook/Family room area.

          It's not quite as large as it appeared in the pictures, the storage is perfect for smaller appliances. The KitchenAid may be a squeeze, but the Rice Cooker and Coffee Pot have plenty of room. !

          Drawers are perfect for tongs, spatulas, all that miscellaneous stuff that falls out of the regular drawers.

          The only reason that I can't give it 5 stars is that some of the shelf holes on the interior aren't there so we will have to drill them ourselves; don't want to take it apart and return it for missing holes.

          It is exactly what we were looking for.

          Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
