I got this island for more space in my kitchen and it works well. The storage is maximized by the design and the slated bottom shelf allows you to display pretty dishes. The only problems I found were the drawers have no guides so when you pull them open they fall downward, and the finish is chipping off right out of the box. Also, there were gaps in some pieces of wood, making the craftsmanship not the greatest...otherwise it is a good piece for the low price. (I ended up just getting a WoodFinish Marker and coloring the chipped parts) I think I will order a glass for the top to preserve the finish as much as possible.

Working with the website,costumer service and delivery was excelent. The kitchen island itself (did not buy stools)not as good...there was 3 damages and overall poor quality, but costumer service made concessions. I'm happy...

    The kitchen island came ahead of schedule. The trucking company was great. There was not one thing the matter with island after uncrating. It looks beautiful in the kitchen. Gives me the extra storage and counter space I was looking for and a place to eat if I don't want to go to the dining room. Very sturdy. The price was very fair. I couldn't have had one built for less.

      We love the look! It has a nice thick top and drop-leaf. We were thrilled that the island came fully assembled and all we had to do was uncrate it and carry it into the house. [...] Work space and storage space are excellent. It would have been perfect if the drawers had been constructed with center guides so that they would stay level instead of tilting down when pulled out. This kitchen island will be used for years to come.
