I searched for weeks for and island for my kitchen. This looked good, but I'm always a bit nervous when I buy something online.
This product is beautiful, well made, and large enough for my space. It's hard to find one this large. It was easy to assemble. I'm a 61 year old woman, and before my back-up got to my house to assist in assembly, I had completed 4 of the 5 steps! The only help I needed was to lift the top. My floating top works well and smoothly. The piece was a bit light and I could tell it would move around the floor if I wasn't carful, but as soon as I placed my heavy kitchenmaid mixer in the cupboard, which was part of my plan anyway, it sat very solidly and firmly. My friends, who knew I was shopping, were amazed at it's beauty and functionality.
While I can see that heavy items placed in the wide drawer could cause problemsas another reviewer reported, it will be easy enough to use that drawer for other lighter items, and it's size will be handy if I have oversized, but not real heavy items.
I will remove one of the shelves in front so that I can store largish cookbooks and this will be done by simply removing a few screws.
The price is very good compared to other items I found online and free shipping for a piece of its weight was a real bonus!
The tile top is really attractive. The entire piece is beautiful. I could not be more pleased with the quality.
The shipper dropped the carton containing the top piece which resulted in a disappointing crack in the wood on one corner, but after sending photos of the damage, I'm hoping a new top will be sent to me. However, problems with the shipper don't reflect poor quality, and the customer service had been exemplary so far. Easy to order, clear confirmation, the shipper delivered on time. LOVE IT!

Overall very nice addition to the kitchen.
We did replace the drawer slides with
heavy duty full extension slides. Now the
middle wide drawer is sturdy.

Top somewhat hard to attach for an older guy. Replaced knobs with metal and added towel bar. Grey tile top was unexpected but matched grey Corian very well. Expected black top. Huge drawer sags in middle with load. Replaced lightweight drawer slide with heavy duty which should have been used. Overall a very good piece and comparatively decently priced but not turnkey.[...]

I love the look of this product I use it in my kitchen where I have maple colored cupboards and the dark color I got matches so beautifully together.

We can't believe we bought this on line, sight unseen! It matches our cabinets and fits our kitchen perfectly. What a great purchase!
We find we want it in one position and have to work on the latch and one of the dowel fittings. But it is in use, and I can't imagine how I did without it.
