Predrilled holes didn't match up so it required a little more effort to put together but when completed looks awesome. Had a minor complaint and the customer service department stepped up big time to make me happy. This company definitely cares about their customers. Would buy something from them again in a minute.

The island looks great online, but on opening the box, the contruction is poor. Two legs had cracks up the length of them, one drawer would not push, and one of the slats on the bottom shelf was very warped. I called customer service and they were very helpful and replaced the island. However, the second island had a crack up one leg and one of the drawers was very hard to push. Then, after a couple weeks of use, the wood filler used around the top of the island started to chip and fall out, leaving a white line around the entire top of the island. I called customer service again and, again, they were very helpful.

I wanted pass through drawers so selections are very limited. I purchased this island as it had the size and look I wanted. I was very disappointed with the quality and craftsmanship of this piece. It was very poorly made and looked like the drawer slots where put together with scrap wood. The drawers do not slide through well at all and get jammed. In the pictures this piece looks good and looks OK when put together but on examination it is very evident that it is a cheaply made piece. The top is a vaneer and the legs are made of 2x4s glued together to give it a sturdy look. I wish I had not gotten it but due to the massive sive and the aggravation I may keep it and have a carpenter friend try to rebuild it and replace some of the shoddy wood slats. I saw this around on the web and was considering, but instead, opted (at first) for a kitchen cart that was on a black friday deal in a bargain store....well, the thing was falling apart from the moment I tried putting it together, so back it went. I decided that I would spend the extra money and get this instead. Well, you get what you pay for. This is a beautiful, well crafted, sturdy piece. I put it together myself in less than 45 minutes and the drawers are awesome. At first I thought it woudn't be enough storage, but I bought a basket and put my kitchen towels and other items in that and put my smaller stainless steel appliances on it and it looks great! If you are on the fence, get off it and make this purchase -- it's worth every penny! Get a cutting board for the top though, it's beautiful wood and I would be afraid to scratch it!
