Great value for the $$$.Not the easiest assembly job, but with patience and some experience, I got it done with no 'do-over's. Very sturdy piece, though the stainless steel top does scratch easily, you can stand on this with no wobble at all. The drawers are not deep, and they are completely sealed in from the sides and have a deep drop in front. This was a problem early on after putting items in them, as something got stuck in one of the drawers and I had to drill a hole in the side of the unit to free it up. Thankfully, I could drill a hole in a place that was relatively invisible.

This unit is used in our dining area off the kitchen for both storage and organization for mail/newspaper/school papers and message center. We had been looking for a unit for quite sometime. This one works well, but it is of a lower quality than I would have preferred. If I could have found another design I liked that was better constructed (yes, I would pay more) I would have bought it. Three pieces of the unit arrived broken. After notification to [...], replacements were promptly sent.

    I ordered this to add some cupboard space. And this was absolutly perfect! There are alot of pieces to this but it is not hard to put it together. Take your time and do it right and you will be rewarded with a beautiful piece of furniture.

    This product was advertised as a Kitchen Island...it is not. It is a buffet cabinet. I like the buffet but was in the market for an island. There was a couple of flaws in it(had to drill couple of holes for screws, couple of scratches etc).

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

      It's a nice piece for the money. However this piece should only be labeled as a buffet, not an island. Was totally surprised when I saw screws on the back side. We've had to put some work into this piece by adding molding (staining the molding) to hide the screws. Drawers also not deep.

      Would only recommend as a buffet/server. Not island.

      I put this together with two people. It took us almost 2 hours to assemble. Unfortunately, when we were 90% finished, and placing the doors, one of them did not match up. The door would not stay shut at all! This was not our error, the base came with the hinges already attached. I am going to email the company and hopefully they will have a remedy. I will be very upset if we have to take the whole thing apart to return it because of the doors.
