        Great piece - I love it! Have gotten nothing but compliments on it - even from our handyman that had been procrastinating building me one!
        Tons of workspace - can make a salad on one end and whip up the rest of dinner on the other. Bottom shelf is a great place to store cookbooks, too.
        It arrived in a couple of weeks and it does come in one piece - but it's not terribly heavy. However, make sure you can get it through your doorways - had to take it out of the box to get it in the house.
        I was surprised that the color is more of a red stain than the brown it shows in the picture, but it looks great!

          My family loves the island and I get loads of compliments from our friends! It came within a few weeks and required no assembly (so be sure you can fit it through your kitchen door). I purchased 4 saddle stools from [...] that fit perfectly around the island (they're smaller than the matching ones featured). I also purchased the end table to match for our famiy room. Very substantial funiture with an organic touch. We are very happy with our purchase.
