Description

    Comments about Home Styles Traditions Kitchen Island with Optional Stools- Cherry:

    I wanted a breakfast bar and storage for baking eqpt. It was poorly designed. The fold down leaf has to stay down, as the braces that hold it up, are not positioned where they can actually slide into the brackets. There is no way you can use the fold down leaf.
    Then there is a whole page of "DON't DO THIS" and "Don't do that". You can only use a "Soft DRY cloth" to clean it!!! Can't use it for a breakfast bar for sure!!
    The drawers are roomy and hold a lot, as does the cabinet underneath. The finish on the top and fold down leaf, is poor - rough in many places, as it was not sealed and sanded before the finish was applied.
    The top is THICK - really thick. It has a nail hole in the center of the top, which they tried to sand out, (did not work) but it left a large low spot in the top.
    It looks georgous, from across the room, and they had a good idea, but they did not put one together to see if the holes were in the right places so you can raise the fold down leaf. If they will pay to send the top back and give me a new one and fix the issue of the leaf not folding up, I would keep it, I really love what it COULD be!
    You need at least TWO people and at least 5 hours to assemble, WHEW

    Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
