We are going to use the barrel cabinet as storage in our kitchen. It is so beautiful and we were delighted when it arrived. The fact that it is on casters and rolls so nicely is a real bonus. It really makes it easy to move to other areas when entertaining. We really love the smell of wine on the inside. It is very very sturdy and has beautiful detail. The inside shelf is very strong and will store heavy objects nicely. The top of the barrel has beautiful carving that is not mentioned in the description. It came from France and it also has the date on it. The cutting board is a bonus and will protect the beautiful top of the barrel. It is worth every penny.
